Host Families Wanted

As we start a new school year we have a number of exciting events planned, all of which require some students to be home hosted.

Firstly, we are being asked by International Education to home host overseas students from anywhere between one term and one year. If you are interested in being involved please do not hesitate to contact Helen Peake at helen.peake92@schools.sa.edu.au. This home hosting does not require the host family to have students at school so is an open invitation to anyone should they be interested. (Please note: in the main the cost of hosting is paid for by the international student’s family).

Secondly, we are thrilled to announce that we are hosting 56 girls from the Australian Girls Choir when they come to Murray Bridge from September 18 to September 22, 2023. It is a specific request of the AGC staff that at least two girls must be hosted in any one home. From previous visits these girls are delightful and bond very quickly and easily with their host families. There will be more information coming soon about this visit but if you are interested please do not hesitate to contact me, Helen Peake at the above email address. Again, this home hosting does not require the host family to have students at the school so is an open invitation to anyone should they be interested.

Thirdly, this year we will once again welcome back students from Funabashi High School to spend two weeks with us from Monday, 24 July until Monday, 7 August. We are looking for host families who are prepared to host a Japanese student during this time. There is some payment for hosting a student.

Please note it is a requirement that all people over the age of 18 staying in the home while any of these students are present will be required to undergo a Working With Children Check (at no cost to the individual).
