National Close the Gap day is held every year on the third Thursday of March. The day aims to recognise the health gap between Indigenous and non-indigenous Australians. The statistical data from 2007 highlights that there was a significant difference in 7 areas and the scheme aims to close this gap. The 7 key areas include Child Mortality, Early Childhood Education, School Attendance, Literacy and Numeracy, Year 12 Attainment, Employment and Life Expectancy.

On Thursday 18 March Murray Bridge High School continued with activities of celebrating Harmony Week. Today was 'Close the Gap' day where staff and students were involved with painting Murals and making bracelets, and the crowd was being entertained by Malakai and Dustin playng the didgeridoo.
