Conservation and Land Management Pilot VET course

Land Conservation.jpg

If you are interested in conservation and want to know more about study in the area of conservation and land management, then we invite you to consider this introductory pilot program to be offered each Friday commencing mid-February. The 1 day a week program at MBHS and local conservation areas will cover 4 units which are electives in the full Certificate 111 program.

Participants will develop some of the entry level skills and knowledge to further study in conservation and land management. You’ll learn about recognising native flora and fauna, including weeds and participate in natural area restoration at a range of local sites.

If this interests you, collect a brochure and initial registration form, from staff at the Trade Training Centre. Students need to be 16 years old or turning 16 in the 2021 school year. You will need to show how this course will form part of your career investigations and you should not be studying any other VET course. There are limited placements in this course and registrations of interest need to be returned before or on Friday 5th February.

Successful completion of the 4 units will be accredited with 20 SACE Stage 2 credits.
