VET Hospitality Final Assessment

On friday 30 October students conducted the final assessment for their VET course in Hospitality with a sit down lunch for 28 Murray Bridge High School staff guests.
The students worked in reverse of last week’s practical service assessment, where front of house were cooking today and back of house last week were front of house on table service.   The kitchen assessments were directed by TAFE Chef Chris Imgraben and front of house students were assessed by TAFE Manager Mary Fiora.

The qualification Certificate II in Kitchen Operations and Certificate III in Hospitality provides the students with skills and knowledge to be competent in both front and back of house.  The course can lead to employment in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

The proceeds of the luncheons and barista service will go back into the community as a ‘pay it forward’ gesture.  Congratulations to all the students with the assessment.
