Dance and Drama Solution fluency Task
In the last two weeks of Term 2 the Year 10 Dance and Drama classes combined to complete a solution fluency task. Dances and actors combined to select, rehearse and present a song from a musical. Other class members chose to do back stage roles of publicity or design.
The three songs that were presented were: Say my Name from the musical Beetlejuice; Summer Lovin’ from the musical Grease and Friend like me from the musical Aladdin. Performers were judged on how well they became the characters and contributed to a successful musical experience. The students worked well together and enjoyed the experience which helped to energise both classes in the last two weeks.
A big thankyou to the lighting and sound support students for their support and a farewell to Ms Sam Allan who is leaving us next semester for another contract position.
