At Murray Bridge High School students in Year 8, 9 and 10 study the Australian Curriculum, as set by the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

Year 11 and 12 students study towards achievement of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).

Building Capabilities

Across all year levels, we explicit teach the Australian Curriculum General Capabilities, designed to equip young Australians to live and work successfully in the twenty-first century.

The General Capabilities encompass knowledge, skills, behaviours and dispositions. Students develop capability when they apply knowledge and skills confidently, effectively and appropriately in complex and changing circumstances, in their learning at school and in their lives outside school.

The Australian Curriculum includes seven general capabilities, as shown in the figure below.
