This course provides students with opportunities to experience personal growth and to develop social skills, self-confidence, initiative, self-reliance, leadership and collaborative skills in a range of challenging outdoor activities. They reflect on their own learning progression with a focus on their practical outdoor skill development, collaborative and leadership skills, as well as their relationship with and connection to nature. Students use reflective practices to implement strategies to further improve and develop their skills and connections. By participating in outdoor activities, students develop specialised technical skills in Surfing and Bushwalking and reflect on their personal, group and social development.

Additional Costs/Information: This subject will cost $285 (ex GST) to cover the cost of the equipment hire, camping fees, excursion fees and transport (but does not include cost of food for the camps). This must be paid at the beginning at the course. Students will need their own sleeping bag.
Successful completion of 1 semester of Year 11 Outdoor Education A or B is highly recommended.
