Curriculum Guide

Year 12 - Stage 2 - Visual Arts - Art

Course Overview

Visual Art encompasses both artistic and crafting methods and outcomes. The processes of creation in both art and craft include the initiation and development of ideas, research, analysis, and exploration, experimentation with media and technique, and resolution and production of practical work. Students choose their areas of study based on their own interests and aspirations, completing  a Visual Study, Folio(s) and Practical(s) with accompanying statements. These are in depth studies which require a genuine interest in pursuing knowledge and practice in the art fields chosen.

An A3 sketchbook will be provided.
