In the first part of the course students will gain skills through contemporary art practices which may include street art, eco-dying, digital art or mixed media and product or environmental design. In the second part of the course students will be given the opportunity to focus on either visual art or design skills where they will be guided through an in depth project. Throughout the course, students will develop skills to complete a design brief and follow the design process; they will improve formal and critical analysis skills, understand art and design in different contexts and complete a practitioners’ statement in preparation for SACE.
Materials will be provided including an A4 or A3 sketchbook.
