Year 11 - Stage 1 - Food and Hospitality B

Course Overview

Students develop a range of skills and knowledge relating to the food and hospitality industry, they develop safe work skills and knowledge around the issues central to success in working in the Food and Hospitality Industry.


Students will have the opportunity to research and create contemporary plating trends and use their learning to develop and create a range of foods for the school formal. Students will also investigate current cafe trends and innovations to develop their knowledge of upcoming issues within the food and hospitality industry.


WHS requirements are closed in shoes and hair tied back in every lesson.  Students can expect some out of hours participation in the presentation of foods to invited guests.
