Students explore cafe style food with prototyping and testing to a target audience, they build on their kitchen skills and processes to operate safely and efficiently in the kitchen while working with others (peers). Students learn the skills of managing a small cafe business and will learn about creating a business model, financial decisions, marketing, promotions and customer service.
The second part of the course will be the running the cafe as a small business and may require some time outside of lesson time.
This subject is assessed against SACE Stage 1 Integrated Learning Performance Standards.
