This course includes three assessment types:
Students create an individual initiative to improve health and wellbeing outcomes upon a researched and targeted group. They also implement and actively participate in the initiative to turn ideas into social action. Students then evaluate and reflect on the success of the initiative.
Students analyse the effectiveness of health agencies, debate a contemporary health and wellbeing issue and assess preventative health strategies to make recommendations for improvement.
Students independently research a contemporary health and wellbeing issue. They develop a question or hypothesis about an issue to investigate and analyse, and make recommendations about the issue. Students use a variety of sources of information from different perspectives to form their conclusions.
Students also complete an 'Apply First Aid Course' at a cost of approximately $120.
