This course will consist of two assessment types
Throughout the course students participate and investigate their physical capacities through appying exercise physiology concepts, such as energy systems, training principles and fitness compnents. These concepts help to improve performance outcomes, leading to greater movement confidence and competence.
Students also investigate how personal, social, and cultural factors affect participation and inclusivity. Students collect and analyse data from the activities undertaken to reflect on factors that may hinder or encourage participation in each activity.
Physical activities can include sports, theme-based games, fitness and recreational activities.
This subject aims to provide students with exposure to the essential skills and structure that will enable them to move on to Stage 2 PE with confidence.
