Students have the opportunity to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to make informed decions about their health, safety and wellbeing. Students explore personal, social and community health concepts such as healthy communities, safety and first aid, sexual health and relationships to develop the attitudes and behaviours to make healthy lifestyle choices.
They reflect on and refine personal and social skills as they participate in a range of physical activities including invasion, net/court and striking and fielding games, fitness and recreational activities in which they will be provided with the oppotunity to develop their leadership skills through performing a variety of roles. Students develop an understanding of the importance of regular physical activity and appreciate the role it plays in defining cultures and identities.
