English will develop students’ abilities to engage with increasingly complex texts across a range of contexts. Students will engage with prose texts, poetry, drama, film and other media. They will develop skills in the use of the English language for a variety of purposes focusing on improved accuracy and fluency. Students will be assessed using the Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards for English.
