Year 12 - Stage 2 - Modern History

Course Overview

In Modern History at Stage 2, students investigate the growth of modern nations at a time of rapid global change. They engage in a study of one nation’s struggle with Revolution, and of interactions between or among nations around a key global event such as WWI, WWII or the Cold War. The assessment comprises: a Folio of varied tasks to show knowledge and understanding, critical analysis of sources and their use as evidence and reflection on the impact of events, individuals and phenomena, an Individual Essay from an area of interest since 1750CE, and an external exam.
