Curriculum Guide

Year 11 - Stage 1 - Mathematical Methods

Course Overview

Mathematical Methods develops an increasingly complex and sophisticated understanding of algebra, statistics, mathematical arguments, and using mathematical models. By using functions and by mathematically modelling physical processes, students develop a deep understanding of the physical world. Mathematical Methods can lead to tertiary studies of economics, computer sciences, and the sciences, as well as careers involving statistics such as social sciences and health.

Graphics calculators are recommended (approximately $190).
