At MBHS, Australian Curriculum Year 7 Mathematics and Science are taught as an integrated curriculum through the STEM subject.
The Year 7 STEM course provides students with essential mathematical skills and knowledge in Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics and Probability. The curriculum focuses on the development of a deep knowledge and conceptual understanding of mathematical structures and fluency with procedures. Students learn through the approaches for working mathematically, including modelling, investigation, experimentation and problem solving, all underpinned by the different forms of mathematical reasoning.
